The Fab Five is finally coming back with Queer Eye Season 5 to make everyone quarantine better. Netflix recently released the most anticipated trailer for the fifth season of this makeover show. By the look of the teaser, the fifth installment of this series is looking as promising as ever. All the previous seasons of this show got a tremendous response from the fans as well as the critics. The show also managed to bag several award nominations throughout the years. 

Queer Eye is an American original Netflix series. It is a kind of reality show. It is the remake of the Bravo series of the same name. This show made its debut on 7 February 2018 and became an instant hit. Netflix released two seasons every year with a set of special episodes. The creators already renewed the show for its sixth season earlier this year. 

Queer Eye Season 5: Trailer!

Netflix finally released the most awaited trailer of Queer Eye Season 5. The trailer itself is quite a treat for the viewers. And after watching it, the fans are getting more excited for the premiere. This time the Fab Five is spreading their unique confidence and faith in Philadelphia. The five hosts of the Emmy-winning show will help ten different heroes throughout the ten-episodes season of this series. The trailer shows a glimpse of the lives of the heroes and hinted on how the Fab Five will encourage them.

What To Expect From The Fifth Season?

The fab five – Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, and Jonathan Van Ness will return with the fifth installment and use their makeover skills on the heroes on Philadephia. The official description of Netflix’s Queer Eye Season 5 reads, “the group will head to the birthplace of the US, to bring their irresistible brand of self-love, confidence, and encouragement to a whole new roster of heroes.”

In a recent interview, Prowoski informed the fans about the fifth season being shooted Philly. He said, “We’re able to proceed with champion diversity, and I think that’s what’s so exceptional about the fact that we get to travel and go to various cities because those experiences are so different. With Philadelphia, it’s a lot more gregarious than the outskirts of Atlanta — even though we were filmed in Atlanta, and we were really along the perimeter in Kansas City. With Philly, we do have a lot more midtown stories, and you kind of get to speak to that experience.”

In the fifth season, the five hosts will help a variety of heroes, including a homosexual member of the prelacy, a father wanting to make a great impression at his daughter’s wedding and a new mom seeking to strike a balance between work life as a doctor and home life as a parent.

Queer Eye Season 5: Release Date

The fans normally haven’t waited this long to watch another season of this Netflix makeover series. The creators confirmed that Queer Eye would hit the streaming giant on 5 June 2020. The fans should better get themselves ready with their popcorn and french fries because a visual treat is on their way to help them pass the quarantine.

The fans have to wait a lot more for watching Russian Doll Season 2 on-screen. Its been more than a year since the show debuted, and now the fans are getting desperate to have the second installment. Production Status Of The Second Season!

According to the reports, the creators didn’t even write the scripts for the second season by the end of the previous year. The filming of the second season was scheduled to begin in May 2019. However, before the creators started it, Coronavirus outbreak shut down the global entertainment industry. The pandemic affected all the shows and halted the production for an uncertain amount of time. The cast and crew of Russian Doll Season 2 would try to start filming as soon as things get to normal. 

Russian Doll Season 2: Plot Details!

In the debut season, the viewers saw Nadia dying on her birthday night. Later, she awakens and relives the night again and again like she is all alive. She met Alan, a man who is suffering in the same circumstance. He is also reliving his death day after dying by suicide. However, later they understand that both of them are lost in a video game reality where their death night was a jumping-off point.

In a recent interview, Pohler discussed the future of the show. She said, “Instead of saying, ‘Can you make it more convenient so that more people like it?’ the people form Netflix said, ‘Actually, can you push it more into an original space, a riskier space?” This statement hints that the creator will dig deeper in search of truth in Russian Doll Season 2. The second season can completely turn the story of this show upside down. 

In another interview, Lyonne suggested that the second season would connect to the debut, through a video game. She said, “There’s always a million yous walking around. It just depends on which one you’re going to put on today. It proposes the question of how many variants of the characters are there collectively? That’s absolutely something that was considered.”

Russian Doll Season 2: Cast Updates

The only confirmed cast member for the second season is one of the creators, and Emmy nominated actress of this show. Natasha Lyonne will reprise her role as “Nadia Vulvokov” for Russian Doll Season 2. Along with her, the fans can expect to see Rebecca Henderson as “Lizzy,” Greta Lee as “Maxine,” and Charlie Barnett as “Alan Zaveri.” There is a possibility that the viewers will see some new faces too in the second season. The official cast list for the second installment is yet to be disclosed by Netflix.

Russian Doll Season 2: Release Date

The fans are highly disappointed by the continuous silence of Netflix regarding the return of this show. Since the filming for the second season hasn’t started, it is more likely that the fans will not see the second season this year. The viewers can expect to stream Russian Doll Season 2 in the first half of 2021 on Netflix.

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4: Production Status

The cast and crew began the shooting for the fourth season of the show on March 2, 2020. However, they have to stop filming just after two weeks because of the Coronavirus outbreak. The show’s lead actress Elisabeth, who also serves as the fourth season director, informed the fans that the creators are still working on the upcoming season.

In a recent interview with Deadline, Elisabeth said, “We were two weeks into shooting when we shut down, so we didn’t get a lot in the can. Our writers are still writing, and they’re continuing to write the season obviously remotely from their own homes separately, and that train is still chugging along.”

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4: Plot Details!

The third season of The Handmaid’s Tale ended on a massive cliffhanger. The fans also have some hint of what they will have in the forthcoming season. In a recent interview, the showrunner, Miller told the fans about the story of the show. He said, “My arch is still very much the arc of the book. People talk about how we’re ahead of the novel, but we’re not really. The book starts, then skips 200 years with an academic discussion at the end of it. We’re not going beyond the novel; we’re just reaching territory she covered quickly, a bit more slowly.”

In September 2019, Margaret Atwood released the sequel of her first novel. So now, the writers have more source material for creating the plotline for the fourth season. The book is set 15 years after the events of the first installment. It revolves around three characters, namely Aunt Lydia, Agatha, and Daisy. 

Expected Release Date

The creators’ original plans were to end the production by the first week of August and release the show in the third quarter. However, it does not seem possible at present due to the pandemic. If the creators get the permission to resume the production in the upcoming months, the fans could expect The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 to premiere by the end of this year.

The recently received trailer of 13RW’s fourth and final season is receiving negative reviews. While they find the new season much exciting, fans point out that its storyline and setting is totally different from the debut season. Fans have commented under the trailer, that the series has lost its path and wasted all the credibility of Season 1.

Thousands from the 13 Reasons Why fanbase believe that the show should’ve ended after the first season. Others complain that the series is no longer a sensitive teenage show like the first season. She shared her sorrow on her Instagram account with the caption, “I wish it could be different, but it cannot.” She also wrote, “We have reached the end of the red Green Gables road after three wonderful seasons.” Meanwhile, Beckett also expressed her anticipation to Entertainment Weekly, of writing a finale movie for Anne With An E.

After witnessing so many social media AWAE campaigns and thousands of signed petitions, The CBC’s general manager finally spoke the truth behind the show’s cancellation. Recently, The CBC revealed that the show’s cancellation purely based on its viewership. Anne With An E was one of the popular Canadian shows amongst the youth. However, the show wasn’t gaining any popularity among the 25-50 age demographic. The CBC added, “The viewership numbers, unfortunately, didn’t lift enough. They weren’t reaching our specific target.”

Although Netflix has shared a link from where fans can poll whether they want a renewal or not. Surprisingly, it may seem like Anne With An E can return if it gained more positive polls. Just like other Netflix canceled shows that returned after their cancellation. So, anything can happen. Let’s hope for the best.
