It was a heartbreaking time for his fans. Leslie Jordan was driving to the Call Me Kat set when his car hit the side of a building at Romaine Street in Hollywood. Shortly the paramedics reached the place, but he was pronounced dead at the site. At the time of his death, Leslie was 67. However, in January 2023, an autopsy report revealed the main cause of his death. Leslie Jordan suffered sudden cardiac dysfunction due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. However, there was no evidence of alcohol or drugs in his system. He was sober for more than two decades at the time of his death.

But “I’m so terribly sad about losing him,” said Billy. He also noted that Leslie Jordan was a true inspiration for him when he was growing up as a gay man.

Born and raised on April 29, 1955, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Leslie Jordan graduated from Brainerd High School. However, he got arrested for drugs and alcohol several times. It wasn’t easy to deal with, but he started to journal daily, which helped him recover from his bad habit. Jordan was a teenager when the gay rights movement began. It also allowed him to realize his sexuality. Later in 1986, Jordan made his debut in The Fall Guy.
